Emma Walford
BA Hons PGCE QTS
Emma is a qualified and experienced teacher and tutor, having worked in both primary and secondary education. She has taught across Key Stages 1–4 and has a strong understanding of the challenges young people can face both in and outside of the classroom.
Alongside her teaching, Emma has experience working with young people through mentoring and youth-focused programmes. As a mentor and project leader with ReachOut, she supported young people to build confidence, develop positive relationships and recognise their strengths. She is passionate about creating safe, open spaces where young people feel comfortable asking questions and talking about topics that can sometimes be difficult to discuss.
Emma has a particular interest in wellbeing, resilience and helping young people make informed choices. As a qualified yoga teacher with training in mindfulness and wellbeing practices, she brings a calm, approachable and non-judgemental perspective to her work, helping young people feel informed, supported and empowered.
