Over the past 5 years, we have been working alongside various festival organisers, including Festival Republic.

Boardmasters 2024
Consolidation of parent education; devising and delivering additional parent webinars on Festival Safety. Collaborating with Schools Consent Project on student RSHE sessions in schools.
Hay Festival 2024
Events for parents about RSHE topics and the importance of meaningful conversations at home. Collaborative work with Brook & Schools Consent Project.
Boardmasters 2023
Pilot project delivering parent webinars focusing on preparing and safeguarding young people attending their first festival.
West of Berkshire 2022
Training PSHE Leads in West Berkshire schools to explore student voice. This resulted in over 250 student voices. It Happens Education, West Berkshire Safeguarding Board & Festival Republic are in the process of commissioning a report on this data which will inform festival safety and planning for Festival Republic events in Summer 2022.
Festival Republic 2022
Devising and delivering a survey for 16–18-year-olds to explore their opinions on consent, substance use & Festival safety. Project delivered in partnership with West Berkshire Safeguarding Board & Festival Republic and involved 9 schools.
Reading & Leeds Festivals 2019
Consultants on drug and alcohol harm reduction material shared with festival goers via the Reading & Leeds festival websites.
