Death
Like other RSHE topics, talking about death is still considered taboo for many, although we know that death and bereavement are challenges that many young people will experience during their time in education.
Evidence suggests that providing the opportunity to learn about death and to develop the skills and understanding, will help young people make sense of these inevitable life events.
The sessions have been created to equip the whole school community with awareness, empathy and compassion towards grief, death and dying. We would encourage you to book this work as a series of sessions, so students can build on previous learning in an age-appropriate and safe environment.
*Please note these sessions are not intended to be a response to a recent bereavement in your school community.
