Tamsin Cardale
BSc, PGCE
Tamsin Cardale (Geography BSc, PGCE) joins us with recent experience in both the state and private secondary education sectors, as well as in pastoral and academic roles. Since gaining QTS in 2019, Tamsin has worked in a diverse array of settings, including an overseas primary school and day and boarding secondary schools in Bristol. Her roles have ranged from geography teacher to PSHE lead, head of year, and KS4/5 form tutor, where she has been involved in supporting the holistic development and safeguarding of students. Tamsin also brings a unique perspective to her teaching, having worked with young people outside the classroom as a sailing and outdoor pursuits instructor.
In 2021, Tamsin became an accredited RSE provider through her training with ACET UK, a certification that has enriched her practice and enhanced her ability to develop comprehensive PSHE and RSE curriculums. As PSHE lead at Clifton College, she was instrumental in updating and delivering statutory RSE materials, facilitating training opportunities for her department, and ensuring that all staff, students, and parents received current and relevant information on RSE topics. Tamsin’s work in empowering the wider school community highlights her desire to build a supportive network around young people, fostering an environment where they can confidently navigate and discuss sensitive topics with the adults around them as they develop through their school years and beyond. Outside of her professional commitments, Tamsin nurtures her creative side through various hobbies, including watersports, running, hiking, and photography.
